Phuket, 20 November 2018 – Amari Phuket invites guests to experience a Thai traditional Loy Krathong Festival that will be held at Rim Talay restaurant on 22 November 2018. There are many activities that will be running throughout the day until night that should not be missed. The activities include a Krathong (woven banana leaf basket) making contest by Amari Phuket’s representatives from all departments, which starts in the morning. Guests can enjoy watching the contestants wearing Thai costumes, learn how to make Krathong by using non-polluting materials and help to select the best Krathong.

In the evening from 18:30 to 22:00, guests will be entertained with a Thai cultural show, the Miss Noppamas beauty contest (where guests can vote for the most beautiful lady), and enjoy a Thai buffet dinner. Guests can then float Krathong containing candles, incense and flowers in the river to thank the god of the river for providing enough water to sustain lives, and make a wish for good luck.

The price for joining the Loy Krathong Festival in the evening is 1,350 THB++ per person (excluding beverages). Children between 5 and 12 years old will receive a 50% discount. The price is subject to a 10% service charge and 7% VAT. Terms and conditions apply.
