Join One of the World’s Highest Profile Philatelic Events “Thailand 2018 World Stamp Exhibition”

The Philatelic Association of Thailand (P.A.T.) under the patronage of H.R.H. Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn in joint collaboration with Thailand Post Co.,Ltd. and alliances across various sectors hosted a press conference on the upcoming Thailand 2018 World Stamp Exhibition, one of the world’s highest profile philatelic events under the concept of “Amazing Thailand Tourism in Digital 4.0 Era”. The Exhibition will be held at the Royal Paragon Hall, 5th Floor Siam Paragon, Bangkok Thailand. It is expected to be attended by stamp collectors from all over the world.

Dr. Prakob Chirakiti, President of The Philatelic Association of Thailand (P.A.T) under the patronage of H.R.H. Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn stated that the key purposes of Thailand 2018 World Stamp are to publicize and promote Thailand’s philately and stamp collecting at the highest international level. At the same time, the event offers excellent opportunity for Thai and foreign philatelists and stamp collectors throughout the world to exhibit their finest collections while enjoying the exhibition and friendly relations through knowledge and culture sharing. It also offers a great chance for Thailand to promote its unique and amazing culture among foreign visitors which in turn helps Thailand to generate goodwill, revenue, and reputation to the highest level.

Organized under the concept of “Amazing Thailand Tourism in Digital 4.0 Era”, this exciting event having received excellent cooperation from Thailand Post Co., Ltd., which is the main sponsor of the event, together with partners from many business sectors.

Key highlights of the event include an exhibition to celebrate the auspicious occasion of  The First Anniversary Celebration of H.M. King Maha Vajiralongkorn’s Royal Coronation Ceremony, Royal Collection of H.R.H. Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn and World Rare Collection showcasing historical exhibit from the reign of King Narai Maharaj during Ayutthaya era and not to mention the displaying of over 2,600 frames of exhibits from all FIP member countries worth several billion Baht combined.

Mrs. Samorn Terdthampiboon, President of Thailand Post Co., Ltd., mentioned that  this Thailand 2018 World Stamp Exhibition will not only showcase some of the finest philatelic collections and award-winning collections from across the globe but also great philatelic rarities and items from every sphere of the globe. This exciting event offers excellent opportunity for all Thais to witness some of the world’s finest philatelic collections and explore the history of other countries through their postage stamps. At the same time, it can help to promote all forms of philately and stamp collecting on global scale.

As key sponsor of the event, Thailand Post will jointly organize this World Stamp exhibition to help promote Thailand’s regions by presenting five special issues of postage stamps “55 tourism in secondary destinations” campaign launched by Tourism Authority of Thailand. These five special editions represent five destinations in five provinces across five local regions in Thailand including 1) The White Bridge in Lamphun Province, 2) Water Lilly Park in Sakon Nakhon Province, 3) Black Sand Beach in Trat Province, 4) Drum-Making Village in Ang Thong Province, and 5) Stone Arch in Satun Province. Each postage stamp represents the beauty of each tourist attraction in different geographical locations and will be available on sale for the first time at Thailand 2018 World Stamp Exhibition

Thailand 2018 World Stamp Exhibition will be held from November 28 – December 3, 2018 at the Royal Paragon Hall, 5th Floor Siam Paragon, Bangkok Thailand. All visitors are welcome to attend with no admission fee.
