Krabi, July 2018 – To create a better future for kids in the Krabi region, Sofitel Krabi Phokeethra Golf & Spa Resort donated THB 50,000 to the Baan Klong Muang School for renovating and maintenance of school conditions on July 2, 2018.

On behalf of Thai Nakorn Pattana Co.,Ltd., Sofitel Krabi Phokeethra Golf & Spa Resort, led by General Manager Bertrand Coustois and the hotel team, gathered at the school for the cash voucher presentation.

Located just a 10-minute drive from the resort, the Baan Klong Muang School is run by Principal Sayan Dumdee, a young and passionate educator who has worked hard to transform the school into an enjoyable place for students to attend. Most of the children who go to class here are locals from underprivileged families. Principal Sayan Thongdee has managed to develop school conditions extensively, leading to an increase in the number of students, while also building a relationship with governmental and relevant private sectors. As one of the long-time partners of the school, we have been proud to offer support to aid the school in realising its full potential.

Recently, the resort invited the children to join the Planet 21 activities on May 19, where the children learned how to turn recycled material into stunning works of art. They later enjoyed lunch at the resort’s signature Maya Restaurant and spent the rest of the day exploring one of the hotel’s top attractions and the largest swimming pool in Thailand.
