Somjai Tungkoo named new General Manager ,Thanyapura Sports & Health Resort effective October 25, 2022 to strengthen and create sustainable growth
Phuket, October 26, 2022 – Ms. Somjai Tungkoo has been appointed General Manager at Thanyapura Sports & Health Resort Phuket, Thailand
Thanyapura Sports & Health Resort Phuket is delighted to announce the appointment of Ms. Somjai Tungkoo as General Manager, effective October 25.
Ms. Somjai has more than 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry. After working at a number of boutique and luxury resorts, including a stint at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, she moved to Twinpalms Phuket in 2003 where she started as Sales and Marketing Manager. She was promoted to Group Executive Manager from 2009 – 2017, overseeing the resort, Catch Beach Club, Bake, HQ Beach Club, and Palm Seaside. Her executive positions continued as Managing Director of three hotels under the La Flora brand in Khao Lak, and consequentially worked as General Manager at Kata Rocks.
Before joining Thanyapura Sports & Health Resort, Phuket, Ms. Somjai was a CEO at The Attitude Club Real Estate Companies. She will manage the Sports & Health Resorts’ day-to-day operations in her new role as well as focus on Sales and Marketing, training, and people talent development.
