ANDAMANDA PHUKET FEVER OPENS TODAY.

Phuket, Thailand: 21 May, 2022: The wait is over! Proud Group, one of Thailand’s leading developers of high-end real estate, hospitality, retail and leisure attractions, opens the door to ‘ANDAMANDA PHUKET’, a world-class water park, a new entertainment and leisure landmark located in the heart of Phuket.

ANDAMANDA is the largest leisure and entertainment destination in Phuket with a THB 4.5 Billion (USD 134 Million) investment. Finally, after 4 years of development, its door opened for the first time on 21 May, 2022 with a soft opening event from noon till midnight. The opening celebration was marked with a special campaign to attract 1 million tourists from all over the world annually.

The event was graced by Mr. Suwat Liptapanlop, Former Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand; Mr. Pichet Panaphong, Deputy Governor of Phuket; and Mr. Nithi Siprae, TAT Deputy Governor for Digital Research and Development. More than 300 distinguished guests from the province joined in this auspicious celebration. The highlight of the night was the moment when Ms. Proudputh Liptapanlop, Executive Director of Proud Group, opened the door and took photos together around the Great Nagon, the smoke-breathing three-headed nine meters tall dragon.

Andamanda Phuket is located right at the Samkong intersection, Phuket. It is the largest leisure and entertainment destination showcasing a seamless blend of Thai culture and mythology and a wide range of recreational components dotting the landscapes and seascapes of the Andaman coast under the concept of “Thai Legend Meets Fantasy”.

The destination highlights a plethora of touchpoints. The vast 10,000 square-metre wave pool generates waves up to three-metres high – the only place in Thailand where you can surf all year round – and it comes with an artificial sandy beach that is over 300 meters long and overlooking a near life-size replica of Koh Tapu, Thailand’s famous “James Bond Island”. The 550-meter-long Lazy River is the longest in the country, and a collection of more than 12 thrilling slides and 36 activities, alongside playgrounds for children, exceeding 5,300 square meters.

The rides were designed by White Water West, the world’s leading water park equipment supplier from Canada. All guests can be rest assured about health and safety.  Cashless payment through RFID wristband and the highest standards of security with over 200 lifeguards professionally trained by Ellis & Associates International Lifeguard Training Program (ILTPTM) from United States, just to name a few of the security and safety protocols in place.

Ms. Proudputh Liptapanlop, Executive Director of Proud Group said at the opening ceremony, “Andamanda Phuket is a new tourist attraction that is not just a water park but it is the largest integrated leisure, entertainment, and resort destination in Thailand. The water park is ready to welcome both Thai tourists and international guests from around the world and be a part of bringing confidence back to Thailand’s tourism sector, emphasizing Phuket as a world-class tourism city.”

The first day of Andamanda was all about giving back. A special privilege was extended to 1,500 Phuket residents. They were the lucky first guests to see the magical beauty of Andamanda Phuket. They were selected from an online registration which saw thousands applied. The lucky guests enjoyed the water park from 10 am onwards and ended their day at the Night Pool Party in Anodat Pool or Emerald Pool with performances from the Bangkok Invaders until midnight. Moreover, the first 100 lucky guests received a Member Card for unlimited water park entrance to have fun all year round, while another 1,400 lucky guests received a QR Code to enter the water park for free.
