Discover a “Taste of Spain” with Michelin-Rated Chef Juan Ignacio García Racionero at Big Fish & Bar!

Hua Hin, Thailand: 31 July 2024Hua Hin Marriott Resort & Spa, the five-star resort on Thailand’s glittering gulf coast, will transport diners’ taste buds to the soaring mountains, spectacular plains and serene shores of Spain this September, as it welcomes the highly acclaimed, Michelin-rated chef Juan Ignacio García Racionero to Big Fish & Bar, a stylish seafront restaurant overlooking Hua Hin Beach and the Gulf of Thailand.

On the 6th and 7th of September 2024, Chef Ignacio, who worked at the one-Michelin-starred Saddle in Spain before becoming head chef at Thailand’s first INNSiDE by Meliá hotel, will treat lovers of fine food to the “Taste of Spain” – two exquisite evenings of world-class Spanish cuisine.

This two-day epicurean event invites guests to enjoy a delightful array of appetizers, including traditional croquetas jamón, pipirrana (a refreshing summer salad with lime-smoked sardines), pani puri (crispy dough balls with hamachi sashimi and roasted peppers), and flaky potato with truffled egg yolk and idiazabal cheese. The experience is highlighted by a perfectly cooked octopus and shrimp paella, capturing the essence of Spain’s Mediterranean coast. For the main courses, guests can choose between succulent pork cheek with Spanish sauce, mashed potatoes, and vegetables, or sea bass with bilbaina sauce, shallots, and bok choy. The event wraps up with an exquisite selection of desserts, including Basque cheesecake, Catalan cream mille-feuille with passionfruit, rice pudding with spicy strawberries, and classic leche frita (fried milk).

The “Taste of Spain” events will take place at Big Fish & Bar, Hua Hin Marriott Resort & Spa, on Friday 6 and Saturday 7th September 2024 (18.00 hrs. onwards), priced at THB 3,500++ per couple (food only) or THB 4,900++ per couple, including wine pairing.
