Bangkok, Thailand, August 27, 2024 – Elevate your dining experience at Akira Back, the innovative Asian restaurant located on the 37th floor of Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park. This September and October, discerning hotel guests and local residents are invited to savor the exquisite flavor of imported French oysters, prepared in a choice of mouth-watering styles.
The chef at Akira Back has carefully selected oysters from France, one of the world’s premier oyster-producing countries. As the French poet Léon-Paul Fargue beautifully put it, eating fresh oysters is like “kissing the sea on the lips.” From the renowned Brittany region, the chef presents two premium varieties of French rock oysters that showcase the highest levels of freshness and quality. La Lune No.2 oysters, which are refined for at least 12 months in the Belon River, are known for their light salinity, sweetness and subtle hazelnut notes, while Black Pearl No.2 oysters are refined for 8 months in the Belon River, offering a unique sweet taste and delicate crunchy texture.
Both varieties will be freshly shucked and served au naturel with a trio of toppings: ikura, chojang salsa, and ponzu. Diners can opt for four oysters priced at THB 980++, or eight oysters for THB 1,860++.
For a bolder flavor experience, guests can opt for Akira Back’s AB Oyster Half Shell (THB 1,150++/ four oysters). This delicacy is cooked to perfection on the restaurant’s charcoal robata grill and served with a signature gochujang butter sauce, complemented by the American-Korean pop influence of bacon and kimchi.
