Meet Grandpa Dinosaur!
From July 15 until August 15, 09:00AM – 03:00PM, the Botanical Garden Organization and Department of Mineral Resources are taking you back to the prehistoric era of herbivore dinosaurs at Chiang Mai’s Queen Sirikit Botanic Garden
The event “Adventures to Ancient Lanna: Prehistoric Botanics with Grandpa Dinosaur” celebrates the glory of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn (Rama X) and Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother, by fulfilling Her Majesty the Queen Mother’s vision of increased environmental conservation, as well as sharing with visitors knowledge about botany in Thailand. There will be an exhibition of prehistoric plants, which served as food for ancient herbivorous dinosaurs, with interesting geological information presented alongside. Visitors will also have the chance to get up close and in touch with the display’s life-size animated dinosaurs.
In addition, to celebrate the birthdays of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn and Her Majesty the Queen Mother, the Queen Sirikit Botanic Garden is allowing free admission for all visitors on Sunday, July 28th, and Monday, August 12th.
