ERIK LANNGE APPOINTED GENERAL MANAGER OF VILLA DE PRANAKORN, UNICORN HOSPITALITY’S NEW BOUTIQUE RETREAT IN SAM YOT, BANGKOK’S ANCIENT HEART
Highly-skilled hotelier has enjoyed a rapid ascent in the hospitality industry, including management roles with Oakwood, AccorHotels, Cross Hotels & Resorts and more
BANGKOK, Thailand: Villa de Pranakorn, the elegant new boutique hotel in old Bangkok’s Sam Yot district, has announced the appointment of Erik Lannge as its new General Manager, as Unicorn Hospitality’s latest upscale property prepares to open its doors end of December 2019.
A highly-skilled management professional with 12 years of experience, Erik turned his attention to the hospitality sector eight years ago – a life-changing decision that allowed his talent to shine. Having joined Oakwood as a management trainee, specialising in food & beverage, Erik then moved to the landmark Rembrandt Hotel Bangkok, where he reported directly to the GM and quickly became accomplished in all departments.
His ability was identified by AccorHotels, where he became Director of Food & Beverage at the popular Novotel Bangkok Siam Square. Erik’s rapid ascent to the top of the career path then took a major leap forward in 2017, when he was appointed General Manager of X2 Koh Samui, Cross Hotels & Resorts’ upscale boutique resort. He was then promoted to the role of Cluster General Manager for three properties: X2 Kui Buri, X2 Le Bayburi, and Away Pranburi Beach Resort.
Throughout his working life, Erik has demonstrated a passion for guest relations, an ability to motivate his teams and a proven track record of delivering excellent results. Last year, he also completed his Master’s degree in Business Administration & Management from Bangkok University.
Now, as part of the Unicorn Hospitality team, Erik is tasked with the pre-opening of Villa de Pranakorn. With 47 rooms and suites and exceptional amenities for discerning guests, all set in Sam Yot in Bangkok’s old city, this new hotel will allow visitors to experience a new era of upscale comfort in an exquisite part of the Thai capital. The newly-opened Sam Yot MRT subway station also puts the rest of the city within easy reach.
“I am delighted to welcome Erik to the team at Unicorn Hospitality, as we prepare to welcome guests to Villa de Pranakorn in December. This beautiful new boutique retreat is nestled in the fascinating heart of Bangkok’s old city, just a short distance from major city highlights like the Grand Palace, Wat Pho, and Chinatown. Erik has an intuitive ability to create outstanding guest experiences and I am confident that his expertise will be a great asset to the hotel, and to our company,” said Yann Gouriou, founder & CEO of Unicorn Hospitality.
