Experience “The Wonder of Wagyu” at Pagoda Chinese Restaurant

Pagoda Chinese Restaurant, the award-winning Cantonese dining destination at Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park, is celebrating “The Wonder of Wagyu” with an exclusive promotion that showcases award-winning Australian wagyu beef in a variety of styles, from the diverse culinary regions of China.

Throughout April and May, guests and local residents can savor five succulent dishes that use the finest cuts of beef from Stone Axe, one of the world’s leading wagyu producers. Founded in 1990, the company was named “Grand Champion” at the Wagyu Branded Beef Awards for two consecutive years in 2020 and 2021 – the first time an Australian producer has ever won back-to-back titles. All Stone Axe meat has received a marbling score of eight or above.

Such a high-quality product needs to be treated with care and expertise. At Pagoda Chinese Restaurant, Chef Oscar Pun has two decades of experience in the kitchens of leading luxury hotels and top restaurants, including Michelin-starred venues in Beijing and Singapore. Now, he has crafted five sensational dishes that showcase the succulent flavor and texture of this award-winning wagyu.

Diners’ taste buds will be transported to southern China with a selection of handcrafted Cantonese dim sum, including Steamed Black Truffle & Wagyu Beef Dumplings (THB 880++ for three pieces) and BBQ Beef marinated with BBQ sauce (THB 1,200++). Guests can also experience a Shanghainese sublime Wok-fried Wagyu Beef with Asparagus in X.O Sauce in Noodle Nest (THB 1,500++), or embark on a culinary journey to Sichuan province with a choice of Homemade Dan Dan Noodles with Braised Wagyu Beef (THB 780++) or Shuizhu Niurou, also known as Sichuan-style sizzling Wagyu Beef in Sichuan Broth (THB 980++).

This epicurean adventure can be further enhanced with a choice of Chinese cocktails, personally curated for his promotion by Ondrej Pospichal, Director of Beverage at Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park. Guests can choose to sip a Guizhou Collins, a refreshing blend of Moutai, lychee, Thai rose, fresh lime juice and soda water, Salted Plum Sour, which features Salted Plum Peddlers Gin, fresh lime juice, sugar syrup and egg white, or a Shanghainese Gin & Tonic, the perfect mix of Peddlers Gin and tonic water. These three enticing drinks are priced at THB 350++ each.

The Wonder of Wagyu promotion runs from 1st April to 31st May 2023, and is available for lunch (11.30-14.30 hrs) and dinner (18.00-22.00 hrs).
