This is evaluated as a result of traveler reviews on TripAdvisor over the past year. The TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence takes into account the quality, quantity and date of reviews submitted by travelers over a 12-month period. In order to qualify for the certificate, a business must maintain an overall rating of at least four circles out of five, have the minimum number of reviews the site requires, and must have been listed on TripAdvisor for at least 12 months.
