Thailand International Boat Show opens with a drumbeat of positivity for Thailand’s tourism
Thailand, 11 January 2024 – The second edition of the Thailand International Boat Show A Luxury Lifestyle Event officially opened today with organisers expecting over 6,000 visitors, including over 3,000 HNWIs from around the world, and to drive growth for Thailand’s marine industry in 2024 and beyond. Held 11-14 January at Royal Phuket Marina, entry is free.
With strong government support, the show was officially opened by Mr. Kitti Chaodee, Secretary to Thailand’s Minister for Tourism and Sports who in his opening address noted the importance of the Thailand International Boat Show and its role in boosting tourism. Mr. Kitti also highlighted the importance of tourism as a mechanism to help Thailand’s economic recovery and she thanked all stakeholders who help to make Phuket and Thailand so welcoming to visitors from around the world.
Building on the success of the inaugural show, this year’s event has expanded in size and boasts an impressive multi-billion display of sail and motor yachts in the
water ranging in price from under 1 million baht upto superyachts worth more than 400 million baht. Charter yachts are also on display, including the 40 metre superyacht M/Y Silentworld which is being presented by ISEO Yachting of Hong Kong and TJB Superyachts of London.
Speaking at the official opening, Mr. Adult Chuthong, Deputy Governor of Phuket shared that Phuket is developing sustainable tourism strategies that will cement its position as a global destination that meets international standards. Recognising the importance of marine tourism and the Thailand International Boat Show, the Deputy Governor stressed that continuous tourism growth will help to empower and develop a strong local economy.

The show is designed to be an enjoyable, fun and interactive experience for all members of the family and a platform to drive business for Thailand’s marine industry.”
In addition to the exhibitor displays, visitors can also enjoy the waterside eateries along Royal Phuket Marina’s boardwalk and the daily live entertainment and social activities in the evenings, as well as family fun daytime activities on Children’s Day
Happening for the first time this year was the Thailand Yachting Conference which took place the day prior to the boat show (10th January) and welcomed expert speakers delegates from across Asia Pacific. Also debuting this year was Robb Report Thailand Best Of The Best Yachting Awards which celebrated the leading lights in Thailand’s yachting industry at a lavish Gala Dinner the evening before the show opened.
