4 September 2019 – dtac today disrupts the post-paid and roaming services with the brand-new ‘dtac GO’. The new price plan for post-paid customers who can enjoy the highest number of domestic internet data with rollover feature and 5 GB free of charge for international roaming with more than 72 roaming partners globally, offering an ultimate seamless experience to stay connected. dtac also debuts ‘GO Travel’, the special additional roaming price plans, specifically designed for frequent traveller who normally use traveling sim card for existing prepaid and postpaid customers. You will get additional 1 GB internet data by enrolling before December 31st.

Mr.Lih Ren added dtac customer’s data consumption grew by 22% over the past year from 9 GB monthly on average to 11 GB, reflecting a huge demand of internet usage. dtac’s postpaid customers travel 2.9 trips yearly on average and 2.2 trips for prepaid customers.

Data consumption behaviour and pain-point when travelling abroad

According to the survey conducted by dtac, it found that customers are in dire need of internet connection for search and social networking, but fear of bill shock and poor network coverage. 

Presently, there are a number of options for Thai travel to stay connected when traveling abroad, but difficulties remain, such as SIM card swap, exorbitant pricing and poor network coverage.
