Phuket province invites couple to join “the 9th Phuket Baba Wedding” to promote the traditional uniqueness of weddings in Phuket

The Thai Peranakan Association in conjunction with the Phuket Municipality, The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), Phuket Office, the Phuket Provincial Cultural Office, Phuket Tourist Association, Thai Hotel Association, The Old Phuket Foundation, Phuket Old Town Community, Blue Elephant Cooking school and Restaurant, Anuphas Group of Companies will organize “the 9th Phuket Baba Wedding” to attract couples to have a traditional Phuket wedding that is not like anywhere else as well as reinforce the image of Phuket as a year-round wedding and honeymoon destination for couples or for others celebrating various other events related to their love. This year’s Phuket Baba Wedding will be held on 14 – 15 June, 2019.

The Baba Wedding is considered to be a colourful tradition and relays the real lifestyle of the Baba people. It is a very spectacular event that has been revived as an inherited cultural tradition that has received acceptance by the local people. This has resulted in the participation of the government, private sector, and Old Phuket community, and also stimulates the province’s economy as well as generates income for the community through cultural tourism.

The Thai Peranakan Association would like to invite all couples to join “the 9th Phuket Baba Wedding” in which there is expenditure of 49,900 Baht per couple including meals, accommodation for 3 days 2 nights, wedding outfits, make-up and hairdressing.
