THE ST. REGIS BANGKOK WELCOMES CHEF ANDREAS CAMINADA ON HIS RETURN VISIT TO IGNIV BANGKOK
Award-winning founding chef to be in residence from November 26 – 27, 2022
The St. Regis Bangkok invites presents the rare opportunity to meet IGNIV founding chef Andreas Caminada on his return visit to Bangkok, where—for the first time ever—he will be serving a surprise dish at IGNIV Bangkok for lunch and dinner on November 26 – 27, 2022.
In the latest Autumn menu, Head Chef David Hartwig revisits seasonal ingredients from his childhood, including root vegetables presented in combinations such as Sunchoke—Macaron—Pickled Red Onion and Red Beet—Carrot—Crème Fraiche, as well as locally sourced game bird meat and eggs used in Quail—Truffle—Spinach—Panch Phoron and Black Cookie—Veal Tartare—Quail Egg. In total, guests will have a total of 17 – 19 dishes in the 4-course sharing experience.
In addition to founding IGNIV restaurants in St. Moritz, Bad Ragaz, Zurich, and Bangkok, Chef Andreas’s signature restaurant Schloss Schauenstein in Switzerland (3 Michelin stars, 19 Gault&Millau points) has appeared on the “World’s 50 Best Restaurants” list since 2011 and was awarded the Sustainable Restaurant Award in 2019. For his continued commitment as trainer and developer of successful gastronomic concepts, Chef Andreas was also honored with the Michelin Mentor Award in 2020.
During Chef Andreas’s return visit to the first IGNIV to open outside of Switzerland, diners will have the chance to meet the acclaimed chef in person.
On arrival, guests are invited to sit at the kitchen counter, where they can enjoy welcome snacks and have the opportunity to interact with Chef David and Sous Chef Arne. They are then ushered to their reserved table to enjoy the rest of the meal, peppered with short visits from Chef Andreas and other chefs, as well as service team members, to provide titbits about the sharing experience.
Chef Andreas Caminada will be at IGNIV Bangkok on the ground floor of The St. Regis Bangkok for lunch (12:00 – 3:00 PM, last seating 1:30 PM) and dinner (from 5:30 PM, last seating 9:00 PM) on Saturday, November 26 and Sunday, November 27.
The 4-course sharing experience with surprise dish from Chef Andreas is THB 6,900++ per person.
