It’s the most wonderful time of the year and GranMonte Vineyard and Winery, Khao Yai is back in full swing with their popular Winter in the Vineyard Festival activities for the whole of December 2022. With the temperature coming down and the weather cooling off it’s the perfect time for fashionistas to express themselves with their favourite boots, scarves, beanies and parker jackets. You can’t get a more picturesque backdrop for winter in Thailand, than GranMonte’s iconic Vineyard and rolling forest-green hills. Who needs a European holiday for a hearty meal with wine indulgence when you can get it right here in Khao Yai, Thailand.
GranMonte is set to sparkle for the most celebrated time of the holiday year with a program that will tickle your eyes, ears and taste buds. Visitors may experience the ever-popular staple activity, ‘Vineyard and Winery Tour with Wine Tasting’. Rug up and enjoy the winter vineyard’s natural terrain then warm up with premium wine and Khao Yai Cheese tasting to follow.
Also by popular demand, GranMonte will bring back their Wine & Cheese Tables. Guests may choose a platter of perfectly matched wine, artisanal cheeses from Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Khao Yai with fruits, cheese bread and enjoy it among the winter vines. A photo opportunity not to be missed!
VinCotto Restaurant, GranMonte’s award-winning restaurant, renowned for serving up top quality homestyle French and Italian comfort food integrating homegrown ingredients like local grapes and vines, is taking the GranMonte wine experience to the next level. Winter Festival guests can explore the very best of GranMonte’s Khao Yai origin wines in symphony with VinCotto’s signature dishes. Taste the perfect balance between rustic home-style dishes and innovative 100% Thai ( *GI Certified ) wines, selected by GranMonte’s very own oenologist Nikki Lohitnavy. A special VinCotto’s A La Carte selection will also be available for lunch plus an A La Carte Signature Wine Pairing Menu until the end January 2023, and to top it off, a very special 5-Course Festive Dinner Menu Pairing option, in the theme of Winter In The Vineyard (available throughout December 2022).
For those loving a drink this Winter break – isn’t that why we are here ? – will have access to a very special Pop-up Craft Cocktail Bar ( 17th & 24th December, 17:00 – 21:00 ) with creations by Khao Yai’s hidden talent @sippinintheloft (Instagram) exclusively for GranMonte! The cocktails will be inspired by holiday traditions around the world; ski aperos and winter festival celebrations.
As the night falls in the Vineyard, the stars begin to shine. Unlike the view through the smoggy city, guests can finally enjoy the vast open sky with twinkling lights. Star Gazing at GranMonte has become official, with their official induction into the **“Dark Sky Place” listing.
